In the south of the Balkan Peninsula, the Republic of Montenegro is situated. The southern region is covered by The Adriatic Sea coast. The Boka Kotorska or the Bay of Boka is one of the prettiest bays in this country. The highest point in the country is the Bobotov Kuk peak that rises almost 2,522 meters above the sea level. On the other hand the lowest point of the country is the Adriatic Sea.
Business Economy
To talk about the economy of Montenegro, the two very important phases were the urbanization and industrialization during the communism period. The economy of the country is partially based on its agriculture. The agricultural products are tobacco, olives, potatoes, grains, citrus fruits, grapes and so on. The industries that are growing very fast in the country are steel making industry, aluminum industry; coal mining industry, agricultural processing industry, tourism industry, textiles industry etc. A major portion of the country's revenue depends on the export trade. The foreign nations that take part in this business with Montenegro are Switzerland, Bosnia, Italy, and Herzegovina.
Natural Resources
Montenegro's natural resources are mainly made up of bauxite, coal and wood. There is significant hydrological potential and the climate is favourable foragriculture and tourism.
Higher Education
The University of Montenegro is the only tertiary institution in Montenegro. The University is described as legally autonomous, but it is funded largely from the state budget. About one-third of the students pay tuition fees. The faculties of the University and its institutes are dispersed over five cities and towns in Montenegro.
Tourism
Montenegro is a Balkan country with rugged mountains, medieval villages and a narrow strip of beaches along its Adriatic coastline. The Bay of Kotor, resembling a fjord, is dotted with coastal churches and fortified towns such as Kotor and Herceg Novi. Durmitor National Park, home to bears and wolves, encompasses limestone peaks, glacial lakes and 1,300m-deep Tara River Canyon.

The winter months on the other hand, are comparatively cold. Be prepared for the heavy rainfall in various parts of the country.
Required clothing
- For most visitors the draw are the glorious beaches - so beachwear and flip flops are the essentials for the day.
- In the summer it can be hot hot hot - wear plenty of sunscreen, sunglasses and a sunhat.
- Don't forget your insect/mosquito repellent either - you'll need it particularly at dusk and when dining at restaurants near the water.
- For evenings, a smart-casual look will work well. Take a light jacket or wrap to cover your arms - to fend off a chill, and the mosquitoes.
- Make sure you take comfy footwear for daytime, particularly if you plan to explore away from the beaches.
