Country

Officially known as Grand Duchy of Luxembourg situated in western Europe, surrounded by Germany, France and Belgium it is a landlocked country and is divided in two regions Oesling and Gutland in North and South respectively.

Business Economy

Luxembourg economy and business has been showing a prospective growth due to its close proximity with Belgium, France and Germany. To earn foreign revenue, Luxembourg exports steel products, glass, machinery and equipment, chemicals, rubber products, etc. The Euro is the official currency for running economy and business in Luxembourg.

Natural Resources

Luxembourg's natural resources are far from abundant. In addition to its agriculture not being particularly prosperous, its once copious iron ore deposits had been exhausted by the 1980s. With the exception of water and timber, there are no energy resources.

Higher Education

Luxembourg has a somewhat limited number of universities on offer when studying abroad or as an expat. Higher education in Luxembourg comes down to the University of Luxembourg, a public university, and the Sacred Heart University, a private university. Both of these universities in Luxembourg rank as some of the best in central Europe, albeit at a cost, and are worth considering for a bachelor’s or master’s degree. The University of Luxembourg is the university offering higher education in Luxembourg. The university has three faculties: Sciences/technology and communication, Law/economics and finance, and Arts/humanities and education sciences. The academicv year stretches from October to July and classes are taught in French and German. The university awards bachelor and master degrees within these areas

Tourism

As a landlocked country, Luxembourg has no water boundaries. However, several major rivers traverse Luxembourg, including the Sauer, the country's longest river; the Moselle; the Our, along the border with Germany; as well as the Alzette, Attert, Clerve and Wiltz rivers. Luxembourg's largest body of water is the Upper-Sure Lake.Luxembourg's capital, Luxembourg City sits atop a cliff along the Alzette and Petrusse river valleys. The city is home to UNESCO World Heritage sites including its Gothic Revival Cathedral of Notre Dame, and the historic Grand Ducal Palace. Other historical and architectural sites include the Place d'Armes and Neumunster Abbey and the historic center.

Climate Weather

Luxemburg has a temperate maritime influenced climate with cool summers and moderate winters. Since the country is small there is little variation in climate from region to region. specially in fall and winter strong atlantic low-pressure systems can cause gales and uncomfortable weather. Sometimes easterly winds can bring a more continental type of weather, warm to hot and dry in the summer, but cold and clear in the winter with temperatures sometimes far below zero. Daytime Temperatures vary from 0-5°C in January to 22-25°C in July. the Mountainous Regions of Luxemburg are slightly cooler, and can have some more snow in the winter.
